*NEW* Hand-Sewing Leather: Small Goods

This entry-level class designed to introduce the classic techniques of hand sewing with leather. Participants will complete two projects that demonstrate the basics of working with leather including cutting, punching, hand sewing, riveting, snap setting, finishing and care. Participants guided through the process from hide to finished product leaving with your very own handmade leather good.

Choose from a wide variety of projects and leather at the beginning of class, including: clutches, belts, coin purses, wallets, Field Notes and passport covers, phone cases, key-chains, sunglasses case and more. Dan Horan, the master mind behind Merchant Leather, is a completely self-taught leather worker with a style that incorporates traditional techniques along with trial and error. Merchant Leather strives to pass the tradition of working with leather on to others.
