    1-UrbanHistoric Summit Avenue Walking TourStroll along Summit Avenue, one of the “best-preserved Victorian streets in the United States.” From the Mississippi River to the Cathedral of St. Paul well over 300 of the original 440 mansions remain. We will point out some of the homes, noting their unique architectural designs and their inspiration. Learn more about the families that inhabited these homes during these heydays of St. Paul. Approximately 3-mile walk ending at Bread & Chocolate on Grand Avenue for a treat on your own. Directions to meeting location mailed prior to hike.#8705A Saturday,  October 14, 9-10:30 am, plus time at Bread & Chocolate afterwards for those interested. 1 – SuburbanWhite Bear Lake HikeWe’ll travel a paved trail along the northwest shoreline of White Bear Lake. Walk beside some of the historic homes in the area including: the Cobb House, the Fillebrown House, former sites of grand hotels and Woodland Indian burial mounds. Continue by Manitou Island, an island with many variations of how it received its name. Mark Twain’s version can be found in Matoska Park near the gazebo. #8705B Saturday,  December 2. Meet at Kowalski’s Grocery Market by 9 am. Hike begins at 9:15 am. We anticipate the hike to take approx. 1.5 hours. Gather at the Washington Square Bar & Grill after for those who wish to gather for dessert and coffee or tea. 
  • *NEW* Rustic Wood Pumpkin (Moderate Woodworker)

    Create a rustic pumpkin to add to your fall décor. Boards will be ready to be traced and cut to create a pumpkin along with two leaves. Participants will use jig saw, band saw, sanders, and portable drills. No loose clothing or jewelry, long hair should be restrained and wear closed-toe footwear. Optional sayings to include in your design available: Happy Fall and Happy Harvest.  Please indicate if a saying is preferred when registering. 
  • *NEW* Rustic Wood Sled (Moderate Woodworker)

    Create a rustic wood sled to add to your winter décor. Boards will be ready to be traced and cut. Participants will use jig saw, band saw, sanders, and portable drills. No loose clothing or jewelry, long hair should be restrained and wear closed-toe footwear. Optional saying and design selections. Sayings include: Merry Christmas, Season’s Greetings, Happy Holidays, Let it Snow, Jingle All the Way. Designs include: Jingle Bells, Snowflakes, Christmas Tree, Snowman, Mistletoe. Please indicate your selections when registering.
