Our Group Lessons Program will introduce and develop participants in the lifelong game of tennis. Each lesson will have a plan and progressively build the fundamental athletic skills, stroke play technique, mental skills, and understanding of the game’s structure. Our program’s development path will guide the group’s training and our coaching methods will strive to positively develop youth via sports.
Program Skill Level: Program Skill Level: Our beginner program has three stages of development:
Stage 1: Builds foundational athletic skills for tennis and introduces basic strokes.Stage 2: Focuses on tennis movement, additional strokes, and ball control.Stage 3: Further develops fitness, swing technique, shot consistency, and game understanding.
Progression through the stages may span multiple seasons, impacted by training frequency and duration. Extended breaks, such as over the winter, may result in skill regression. In all three stages, our coaching methods implement the principles of positive youth development via sports. Players are placed in sub-groups by skill level and we will provide feedback to parents when players achieve Stage 3 competency and are ready for intermediate tennis and our Team Tennis Match Play Program.
