Recreational soccer program is designed to introduce age-appropriate, individual-technical development and the tactical concepts of soccer to children in kindergarten through 5th grade. These skills taught in a fun, safe and rewarding environment that helps players to develop both physically and emotionally. All players over the course of the season will have equal playing time. In addition, players can expect to play every position over the course of the season. Goalkeepers will be introduced at the 2/3 grade level. Teams are formed by age, some gender specific, some co-ed. All players receive a game t-shirt, basic photo package, and participation medal as part of the registration fee. Practices take place on Tuesday nights. Games begin August 24. Generally, K will play between 9 and 11; 1st grade between 10 & noon; 2/3 between 9 & 11; and 4/5 between 11 and noon. Please wear soccer cleats, and shin guards. Regular price $90.Are you interested in being a coach? Coaches begin on Tuesday, August 13 with a coaching clinic with Instructor Kenny Hills and his staff. The clinic is designed to help coaches learn techniques to help their players better grasp technical skills and their tactical understanding of soccer. The clinic is formatted for each age group and is not compulsory, but useful for all coaches to gain ideas for their own practices. Coaches who have a player in the program will receive a discount on fees. Please indicate when registering if you are interested in coaching.
