Centennial PreschoolMay Update: We still have availability in most classes and locations. Part-day morning classes are full; Blue Heron and Centennial classrooms have only Tuesday/Thursday seats remaining. The Centennial School District provides high-quality part-day and full-day preschool experiences. Classrooms are located at each of the elementary schools in the Centennial School District as well as the Early Childhood Center. (Part-day classes are only offered at the Early Childhood Center.) Centennial Preschool is held in classrooms with a 1 to 10 staff-to-student ratio, taught by licensed teachers using Creative Curriculum for Preschool and assessment tools approved by the State of Minnesota. Our preschool program has earned a 4-Star Parent Aware rating. Please see full information on the program at our website prior to registering. Centennial Summer AcademyCentennial Summer Academy is being offered by invitation only to Centennial students. Each invited student can select one class from their grade level offerings, which will open online for registration March 18 at 9 am. Financial Assistance will be available to those that qualify. Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)ECFE Is here for you and your child! ECFE welcomes parents or other adult caregivers to attend classes with a child from birth to age 5. Classes are organized by age to provide developmentally-appropriate activities. Parent education is an important part of ECFE, and all weekly classes include a discussion period with a licensed parent educator. Early Childhood ScreeningEarly Childhood Screening takes place once each month, October through May. (We may hold screenings on additional days to meet state requirements for kindergarteners and preschoolers.) Unless otherwise noted, all screenings take place at St. Mark Lutheran Church*, 1 North Rd., Circle Pines. Each month's appointments are available online at least two months in advance. If you don't see an appointment time that works for you, please call the Early Childhood office at 763-792-6120 or email ECScreening@isd12.org to discuss alternatives. Kids ClubUpdate: July 1, 2025 Summer 2025 Registration: Registration is closed for the summer. Please check back in January for information regarding Summer 2026 C.A.M.P. Summer Kids Club C.A.M.P. runs during the summer and is for children who will be enrolled and planning to attend kindergarten through 6th grade that upcoming September. Students must be able to use the restroom independently. 2025-26 School Year Registration: We are currently accepting registrations for the 2025-26 school year, however, Blue Heron, Golden Lake and Rice Lake Elementary’s are currently on a wait list before school. Centennial and Centerville Elementary’s have limited space before school. Schedules must be consistently the same weekdays from week to week. Enrolling for before school care requires a minimum of 2 days. Enrolling for after school care requires a minimum of 2 days. Registrations are accepted through your family's Eleyo account and space is limited! Students must be able to use the restroom independently. County Assistance is accepted. Kids Club is childcare provided by ISD #12 - Centennial Community Education. Kids Club offers two separate childcare seasons: one season is for care provided during the school year; the other season is care provided during summer months. Kids Club is a school-age care program where fun and learning come together. It’s where we build, we tinker, we paint, we play, we work together and we create friendships! Kids Club is a fee-based program serving families and students year-round in a variety of programs. We have begun to use Character Strong curriculum to work on social emotional skills by teaching students about the following character traits: respect, responsibility, gratitude, empathy, perseverance, honesty, cooperation, courage and creativity. Kids Club works in partnership with parents and their child to make their stay happy, productive and safe. In order to provide the highest quality program, Kids Club meets the standards for school-age childcare set by State of Minnesota guidelines. All schedule changes (known as contract changes) are subject to a $25 contract change fee per contract. All contract changes require a two-week advanced notice, either by requesting the change using your family's Eleyo account or by emailing kidsclub@isd12.org. When requesting a contract be canceled/withdrawn, we require a two-week advanced notice, either by requesting the withdrawal using your family's Eleyo account or be emailing kidsclub@isd12.org.. Pre-K Kids ClubPre-K Kids Club is childcare provided by ISD #12 - Community Education, providing childcare during the school year. School Readiness PreschoolThe goal of School Readiness Preschool (SRP) is to help preschoolers enter school with the skills and behaviors necessary to be successful in future learning. The priority of SRP is to involve parents in their child's education. SRP is open to children age 3 and 4 and all classes are taught by a licensed early childhood teacher and parent facilitator using curriculum and assessment tools approved by the State of Minnesota.
