Music Together (Newborn-6 yrs with parent/caregiver)Sing, dance, play, and learn in these award-winning, internationally acclaimed music and movement classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and the grownups who love them. At Music Together, our mission is to make the world a better place by making it more musical. To do this, we bring the highest quality music and movement experiences to children and we involve the adults who love them in the magical process of development that music can provide. Our relaxed, yet focused, classes nurture children’s natural enthusiasm for music and support them on their journey to becoming confident, lifelong music makers. Classes are mixed-age so siblings can attend together. Cost includes a CD, a code to download the music, an illustrated songbook and parent education materials. Infants under eight months attend free with a paid sibling. You are welcome to make up any classes missed by using Music Together’s online Make-up Scheduler under ‘Enrolled Families’ at MusicTogetherClasses.org. We want you to fit in all eight of your summer classes. Visit a FREE demo class before the sessions start to learn more about the program to see if Music Together is a good fit for your family. Please register separately for the Demo events. Demo classes are free but registration is required.
Private Voice Lessons (Ages 10 to Adult)Focus on your singing goal in a one-on-one setting, whether it's improving or learning to enjoy singing or becoming more comfortable with your voice. From basics to performance, work to create the session curriculum revolving around diction, breathing, understanding music vocabulary, sight reading, and help with performance and auditions. And don’t forget there is fun in learning to sing. Bring music you are interested in working on. Select your preferred ½ hour lesson time online, or identify time on mail-in registration form. New this summer: Those vocal students interested can use their private vocal sessions to focus on an upcoming competition or performance. Doreen will arrange a date in July for those interested to perform in a public venue. She will also assist those interested in signing up for the Amateur Talent Contest at the Minnesota State Fair (a separate registration fee of $17 payable to the fair will be required). Doreen will work with those interested in this option. State Fair Amateur Talent Contest registration opens April 28 at 8 am and auditions are July 27-August 2 at the Bandshell.
