Have you ever wanted to try your hand at abstract art that is fun and colorful? Alcohol Ink (AI) is a new painting technique that just screams abstract. With so many different techniques, AI will soon become a favorite medium. To make these beautiful roses, you will be using a hairdryer to move the alcohol ink around the edges until the ink dries leaving beautiful roses with abstract petals. To add variations, you can add a background before you add the roses, add leaves or melt the colors. Utilize various colors for your individual painting. Remember this is the fun part, explore your creativity. Your instructor will guide you through each step. You will make one 6"x9" painting in your chosen colors. Given time, you can create a second painting. Just come to have fun and enjoy yourself. The best part of using Alcohol Ink is if you don’t like a part of your picture, you can wipe it off with ISO alcohol. A supply fee of $15 is payable to the instructor on the night of class.
