Add-On Class: Registration required. The Young Explorers series allows for play and learning focused on a different theme for each class. Classes meet Tuesdays for 3 weeks from 1-2:30pm. Please note that classes may include guest speakers and field trips. This is a separating class, and parenting time will include discussions of theme-related topics as well as general joys and concerns. Sibling care is available for onsite days for an additional $10 per child per class ($7 for Young Bakers). Class Dates Description Young Bakers New Dates: September 16, 23, 30 We will explore age-appropriate baking recipes without using an oven. Young Farmers New Dates: October 21, 28, November 4 We'll learn about farms, farmers, crops, and animals. A visit to Autumnwood Farms will bring it all to life! Young Scientists November 25, December 2, 9 Opportunities for children to use their minds and hands to play, explore, and learn. What fun things will we create? Young Chefs January 20, 27, February 3 We'll be whipping up a variety of recipes you can eat in the classroom and make again at home. Young Helpers February 17, 24, March 3 We will discover the helpers in our community - police, fire fighters, postal workers, librarians - and get a chance to be helpers ourselves. NEW! Young Performers March 31, April 7 Bring out your inner superstar! We'll explore the arts and learn about music therapy. This 2-week class is $20 per child, with sibling care available for $7 per child. (Be sure to select the $7 sibling care rate.) Young Gardeners April 21, 28, May 5 How does your garden grow? We'll explore plants and the growing cycle. Prepare to get your hands dirty as we visit All Good Organics in Centerville to see what is growing in the greenhouse and visit the baby goats! Notes for registration: There is no lottery for Young Explorers classes; you will be able to register for any session where there is room. You may register for Young Explorer classes in addition to a year-long weekly class, but each class should be its own enrollment. Register for your primary class or first add-on class, then select Continue Shopping instead of Checkout. Add your next Young Explorers class and repeat the process until you have registered for all the classes you want. At checkout you will be asked for a payment method (credit card or checking account), which will be charged only for the Young Explorers class(es). Any other ECFE registrations will be held for the lottery. When you check out and your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, your registration may not be processed. Please login to Eleyo again and confirm that you have provided an active email address and that you have complete all the required fields for registration.

Weekly Class: Registration Required Students must turn 3 years old by December 1 (born before December 1, 2022). This class is a great option for children who just missed the cutoff for 3-year-old preschool, haven't quite mastered toilet training, or are not ready to attend school without a parent's presence. We start the year as a once-a-week parent-child class on Thursdays. Once students grow comfortable with the class setting and confident during separation time, they will begin attending Fridays (same class time) without parents. We anticipate adding Fridays in mid-January. Students must be toilet trained to attend on Fridays. Sibling care is available for this class on Thursdays only. Notes for registration: Be prepared to select your income level, based on pre-tax household income, in order to determine your price for the class. Select the annual or monthly payment method, and your price will be displayed. Several surveys from the MN Department of Education are included at the end of your registration. (Surveys have no bearing on your registration, but it is helpful to our program if you complete them.) When you are given the choice to "continue shopping or checkout," select continue shopping to add another class or to add another child to the same class. Otherwise, at checkout you will be asked for a payment method (credit card or checking account), which will be charged only if you are placed in a class. When you check out and your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, your registration may not be processed. Drop-In Class: No registration required. Registering gets your information into the system to make payments easier, but does NOT guarantee you a spot in the class. Drop-in classes are first-come, first-served until we reach capacity. Drop-in & Play! We're here every Monday and Friday classes are in session. (See calendar on our webpage for holidays.) Come once in a while or make it a weekly habit. Cost is $5/child or $10 family, paid at the door. Multi-visit punch cards are available. Space is limited. If we have reached capacity, a pink sign will be placed on the Early Childhood doors.
