Our Conquer Advanced Ninja Rec Team is designed for youth ages 6-13 who have already done Rec Team before and are past the beginner level. NO basics are taught, this is a more advanced team with more advanced competitions. This 8 weeklong program consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions.   • After School Youth Soccer (gr. K-5)

    For the purposes of safety and security, students must register for after school classes ONLY at the elementary school in which they are enrolled. Join high school players and/or retired varsity head coach for a fun after-school soccer program. Lessons will work on fundamentals through skills and drills. We'll focus on having fun and being active. Scrimmages will take place as well. K-2 will meet in the gym, Gr. 3-5 will meet outside weather permitting. Please bring a water bottle and shin guards. K-2: tennis shoes. Gr. 3-5: tennis shoes are needed if class held inside, or soccer cleats are fine if class is outside.

    Discover what it takes to animate a cartoon or film. Learn about the history of animation, create your own flipbook, and design your own characters. Come excited, leave inspired! Take home your own masterpiece. Please bring a bottle of water and a nut-free snack.
  • Beginning Chess (gr. 2-5)

    For the purposes of safety and security, students must register for after school classes ONLY at the elementary school in which they are enrolled. Learn how to play chess in a fun environment, right after school. Each class will focus on a different piece. The session will culminate with an exciting tournament on the last day with prizes.
  • Celebration Cakes 101 (gr. 6-8)

    The Joyful Crumb is coming to share their expertise! Unlock your creativity and learn to bake and decorate stunning cakes in this practical course. Gain hands-on experience with everything from selecting ingredients and mastering baking techniques to leveling, filling, and frosting cakes with a flawless finish. Discover the secrets to working with buttercream and ganache drip, and practice essential decorating skills such as piping, applying sprinkle decoration, and adding the perfect finishing touches. By the end of this course, you'll be able to design, bake, and decorate custom cakes, perfect for celebrations or simply enjoying the sweet rewards of your skills. Each participant will leave the course with a 6" round cake!
  • Centennial Middle School Track & Field (gr. 6-8)

    This program is open to Centennial Middle School students only. Athletes will compete against other schools in our conference in various running, jumping, and throwing events. Practice begins March 30 for 6th graders and April 1 for all athletes. The season ends the week of May 18. Please watch your email/texts if we are having inclement weather, we will also make announcements in school to update the practice status. Meets: There will be one or two meets each week. Meets will be with other schools in our conference. Meet dates will be announced as soon as we receive that information. Athletes will receive a uniform shirt, but will need to provide their own shorts and shoes. A team t-shirt is included. Parents will be asked to volunteer at one home meet. Transportation is provided to and from meet sites for athletes. Athletes will need to arrange transportation home from the middle school following the meets. Sports Physicals: Sports physicals are not required for 6th grade students. They are highly recommended but not required for 7-8th grade students. Physicals are good for three years unless restrictions exist. There will be after-school activity buses available leaving at 4:45 pm and after-school supervision until 6 pm if needed. Fees are non-refundable after April 8.
  • Centennial Ski/Snowboard Club (gr. 6-12)

    Very few spots remain for upcoming individual trips and then the buses are full! If the date you are interested in is waitlisted, please add your name to the waitlist. If someone cancels, or we receive enough interest to warrant an additional bus, we will contact you. Centennial Community Education Middle School Ski/Snowboard Club Scheduled trips for the 2025-26 Season Wild Mountain December 13 - canceled January 31 February 21 February 28 Make up Trollhaugen January 17 February 7 Mandatory Presentation: A presentation will be shared with adults prior to the first trip. This presentation must be reviewed with the student before the first trip. Link to video is in your course confirmation once registered. Registration: Students can register for all 5 trips starting at $279. This fee includes transportation, chaperones, lift ticket and insurance. Registration deadline extended to Thursday, December 4 at 8 am to receive the package price. No refunds after the deadline. Partial refunds are not available for the package price. Students may register for individual trips providing space availability starting Monday, December 1 at noon. Have a Season Pass?: Season pass holders: Trollhaugen $239, Wild Mountain $209. Individual Trips: $69 Registration for individual trips will remain open until the Tuesday before the trip, space permitting. There must be a minimum of 40 students to run this activity. After 80 students, registrations taken as long as there is space on available buses. Registrations taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Need to Rent Equipment? Wild Mountain rental fees need to be paid in advance through Centennial Community Education. Please select the price option that includes WM rental fees during checkout. Help your child know what information they'll need to rent equipment. Sample Rental Form Top Chart. Students are expected to identify their assigned equipment by its unique ID number. This is especially important after taking breaks indoors, as rental gear tends to look alike. Trollhaugen rentals are done on site. Rental packages include a helmet. Please ensure your child has money to pay for rental fees. Rental Fee: $25 Have your own gear? Please properly label with your name. It would be helpful if you could bundle everything and put it in a ski/snowboard bag. This makes transportation and identification much easier. Ski equipment cannot be brought into the chalet, please leave your gear outside on the racks. If you prefer, you can purchase a Ski Corral from Wild Mountain. Centennial student special pricing for the three sessions is $3.22 (total with tax). The Ski Corral is located behind the rental counter and is always staffed. When students want to check in their gear, they have to show their lift ticket proving they have Ski Corral. Then they are provided a tag with a number on it. This is what they will return to the Ski Corral when they want their gear back. Skis and snowboards cannot be left at the Ski Corral overnight. If you are interested in using the Ski Corral for all three sessions, please let Community Ed know during registration. Lessons: We strongly encourage beginners to sign up for a ski/snowboard lesson, available at Wild Mountain. Lessons need to be scheduled and paid for through their Snow Sports Department in advance. To schedule your Wild Mountain lesson please email nathan@wildmountain.com. Wild Mountain does not allow onsite sign up or payment for lessons. Transportation: We will leave the Middle School parking lot promptly at 2 p.m. on the day of the trip. Please stay with your student until the buses have arrived for loading. When you drop off/ pick up your student(s) at the middle school, please DO NOT park in the loading area in front of the school where the buses will be arriving to unload. Late pick up may result in your student being removed from the ski/snowboard club with no refund. If students have cell phones we do ask them to send a text when we are in Forest Lake to alert parents of pick up time, otherwise please arrive for pick up at 9 pm. Refunds: Refunds will not be given for students who miss a trip; however, you can request a lift ticket voucher BEFORE the trip is taken. Vouchers must be requested by the Tuesday before the trip week. No vouchers will be issued for students who have not communicated with Community Education by the Tuesday before the trip. Lift ticket vouchers are good for the season at the location for which you cancelled. Chaperones will be Centennial School District staff and parents.   • Code Championship Tournament/Virtual Computer Coding Competition (Gr. 3-9) (Online)

    No previous experience necessary. This event will be hosted online using Google Meet and the Code Championship website. Build a computer bot to compete against other coders. Whether you're new or experienced, this is the perfect way to explore competitive coding. The Code Championship series is four online tournaments hosted on Google Meet. If you have a modern browser, no download is required. Players must be able to navigate the internet. The link to the Google Meet event will be emailed two days before the tournament.
  • Comic Book Creation (age 9+)

    Learn how to create your very own comic book. We will design characters using basic shapes, take a closer look at facial expressions, and discover how to create pages that pop. You will leave with a finished story you can share with your friends and family. Please bring bottled water and a nut-free snack.
  • Confident Home Alone (Ages 8-11)

    Learn skills to be more comfortable home alone. Discover personal strengths and challenges as they relate to being unsupervised. We’ll focus on awareness of your surroundings both in and outside the house. Prepare for potential emergency situations for yourself and others who may be in your care. Basic First Aid will be covered. Discussions and demonstrations provide an overview on topics like: cooking, emergency preparation and plans, weather emergencies (what to have on hand and what to be aware of), hazardous materials and their storage, strangers, spending time with friends, etc. Bring a snack with beverage. Cost is $45. If you have an interest in taking this course, please add participant to the waitlist to receive additional communications once specifics are known. Class will run sometime between December and April.

    Learn skills to be a confident babysitter. Prepare for potential emergency situations with an overview of choking and basic first aid specific to infants and children. Discover personal strengths and challenges as they relate to caring for children. Discussions and demonstrations provide an overview on how to interact positively with children, manage challenging behaviors, prepare meals and snacks, diaper and bottle feeding. Bring a lunch with beverage and a doll. Cost $78, price includes bag and manual.   • Confident Sitter First Aid, CPR & AED Course (ages 11+)

    (prerequisite: Completion of Confident Sitter or basic babysitting knowledge) Take basic child care a step further in this small class featuring individual attention for each participant’s review and demonstration of skills. Successful completion will certify students in basic first aid, CPR and AED for infants, children, and adults - an important asset for a babysitter. Learn to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies including cardiac arrest, broken bones, bleeding, choking, allergic reactions, diabetic emergencies, etc. Must be committed to taking the topics seriously in order to receive certification indicating mastery of skills. Receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Completion Ecard and student workbook (a $25 value). Bring a lunch with beverage. Beginner Rec Team practices will primarily all be on the small side of the gym (also on warped wall and area of the large side), specifically set up for the beginner level with competitions being on the big side. Once you've mastered the basic techniques and challenges, you can move up to the Advanced Rec Team, which is all on the big side of the gym. Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth ages 6-13 of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the TV show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders, and so much more during their weekly practice. The 8 weeklong Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions. Registration is Non-Refundable or Changeable within 2 weeks of start date!

    Do you enjoy painting? Are you interested in learning to paint? Come join our "Paint Party" atmosphere and learn to paint with acrylic paints on a 16" x 20" canvas or two 8" x 10" canvases using the step-by-step method or come with your own idea in mind! We take a cookie break while layers are drying and listen to music, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Beginner and advanced students are welcome to join! All have the option of an "Open Paint Studio." Students can be picked up or ride an activity bus home at 4:40 pm.

    Cougar Strength for Football is a great opportunity for 7th & 8th grade student athletes who are looking to play Cougar football next fall. Athletes will work with the high school coaches and receive an introduction to the high school workouts with a focus on developing strength. Sweat now towards your goal of becoming bigger, stronger, and faster in preparation for the summer Cougar Strength workout program and beyond. No makes ups or refunds for missed sessions. Parents must provide transportation to the high school.
  • DASH After School Flag Football Camp (gr. K-4)

    For the purposes of safety and security, students must register for after school classes ONLY at the elementary school in which they are enrolled. Dash Sports Flag Football Camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of 'Respect, Hustle, and Pride'. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Footballs and flag belts are provided. Spikes/cleats and mouth guards are optional.
  • DASH After-School Track and Field Camp (gr. K-4)

    DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas, including: sprinting, javelin, throwing, shotput, relay running, jumping and distance running. Campers will be tested/timed & re-tested on several events. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games; all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic shoes.

    DASH Sports Basketball Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing and shoes. Balls are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3 yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.

Parent participation is required for the 2-3 yr old group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.
  • DASH Jr. NBA Basketball Camp (ages 7-10)

    DASH Sports Jr. NBA basketball camps provide players with a well-rounded basketball experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly shoot, pass, dribble, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Each player will have the option to order a jersey during registration. You'll receive a customized Jr. NBA/WNBA jersey of your favorite team with your name and number on the jersey. Deadline to order a jersey is March 16 at noon.
  • DASH Non-School Day Sports and Games Camp (gr. K-5)

    Looking for an exciting non-school day filled with sport activities? Each camp includes fun instructor-led, skill-based training & games. Our day will be spent on sports and will also include lively games such as kickball, capture the flag, dodgeball, and more. The Ultimate Games camp will focus on these games and more. The Multi-Sport camps will include soccer, basketball and flag football.
