Specially designed for beginning coders, we make it extra fun for kids to pick up coding skills in a themed camp they love. Create your own universe of magical Pokemon creatures to escape an adventure map, code a catch-Pokemons game, design your own Pokemon team, and create a game duel against friends. Create the sweetest memories this summer in this exhilarating STEAM camp. It's time to have delicious fun as you discover the amazing science behind your favorite sweets as we mix up totally awesome experiments and design packing for your creations. Have a blast as we create tasty gummy bears, mix up yummy edible slime, and so much more. As you do, learn about the science and chemistry of food as well as super interesting STEAM concepts. We'll make it even sweeter with other exciting activities. Dress in clothes that can get messy. -

Participants will start off Drone Photography by learning how to fly an entry-level photography drone. Once they've mastered the basics, they'll be taught more advanced techniques that will help them take higher quality photos and videos with their drones. Photo and video editing software tutorials will enable participants to create awesome media content that can be downloaded and kept after camp. Bring a flash drive to save and share your creations. -
*NEW* Epic Robo Lab: Build Your Own Robots (Entering Gr. 1-4)
Robots are sooo much fun, and this camp is full of them. Do you like your robot cute and fuzzy, or perhaps more hawkish and intriguing? You are the creator of your own robots. Using motors, batteries, and other supplies from your "inventors shack" have a blast as you engineer a different robot each day, from fast moving, wiggly, shaky, spinning, and so much more. We'll top it off with other mindboggling engaging activities. -
*NEW* Escape Room: Space-X Galactic Mission (Entering Gr. 1-4)
If you are looking for the most thrilling, out of this world adventure this summer, then this is the camp for you. Imagine your mission is stuck on a newly explored planet and you need to figure out how to return to earth. Your path back leads you to solve fun clues and STEAM challenges. Build a rower, design an extension arm, create a light-up constellation map, and ultimately, once you collected all clues, launch your own rocket. Explore space like never before in this action packed camp. -
*NEW* Intro to Esports (Entering Gr. 3-8)
Turn your passion for video games into valuable life skills. Camp will introduce the world of Esports and teach participants about the many opportunities available to them by getting involved. Play some of the most popular Esports games, compete with and against each other in tournaments, and learn important lessons along the way. -
*NEW* Jr. Science of Superpowers (Entering Gr. K-3)
Ready to see just what it takes to be super? Answer the call for aid by dissecting superhero skill sets to uncover the science behind superpowers. Through a week of hands-on exercises and brick-building projects, participants fly alongside Superman, sling webs with Spiderman and recognize the real-life heroes in our world. -
*NEW* Minecraft Escape Room (Entering Gr. 2-5)
Dig deep and get exploring in puzzle-filled maps in this Minecraft camp. Using Minecraft EDU, you'll learn how to use redstone mechanisms and programmed commands in order to create the perfect Minecraft Escape Map. You'll design fun puzzles, engineering traps to trick your friends, and even make hidden rooms to hide your treasure. By the end of camp, you will be able to show off your new adventure mapping, redstone, and command skills to your friends. No advanced Minecraft knowledge required. -
*NEW* RC Wars (Entering Gr. 4-9)
In RC Wars, student teams will build their own remote control vehicles to race and battle against other teams. Participants will need to design their vehicles to not only be faster and stronger than other teams' creations, but also better than purchased RC cars and drones. RC Wars will feature land and air races, obstacle courses and more as participants learn mechanical and electrical building skills in an energetic and exciting environment. -
*NEW* Shark Week (Entering Gr. 3-7)
Did you know that some species of sharks, like the Blue Shark, can fit through the bars of a diver’s shark cage? Or that the Great White Shark species can never stop swimming or they will drown? What about the theory that sharks don’t even like the taste of humans, but prefer seals for dinner? Participants will work in teams to complete Shark Week Challenges including: shark cages, floating shark fins, and the build-a-boat challenge. Together, all will investigate and experience buoyancy, density, the Engineering Design Process, and even chemical reactions. -
*NEW* Tabletop Strategy Games for Minecrafters (Entering Gr. 3-12)
Do you enjoy Minecraft? This theme carries over into tabletop games as well. Build, craft, mine without a screen. Explore Minecraft themed and related tabletop games. Next, you’ll use analog gaming experiences to design and create your own themed card or board games. Play test them with your new friends. Great for your creativity and imagination. -
*NEW* Ultimate YouTube Super Star (Entering Gr. 3-7)
Are you ready to share your talents with the world on YouTube and enjoy an unforgettable summer? If so, this camp is for you and your BFFs. Learn the ins and outs of producing your very own YouTube video, with invaluable tips on how to take your production to the next level. In small teams, create distinguishing art for your channel, learn about fair use and copyright, and of course how to masterfully record, edit and upload videos. Ready? 3-2-1…! -
*NEW* VEX Go STEM Lab: Robotic Machines (Entering Gr. 1-4)
Come explore this brand-new building system from VEX. This whole camp is about building machines and bringing them to life. Work in pairs to explore different machines, how to make use of mechanical advantage, and “robotize” many of your creations, adding motors, and sensors. Get a start into the world of programming, using a drag & drop Scratch-based program. The best part is, you are building a lot of your own creative designs, including your version of the Mars Rover and the robotic arm. -
*NEW* Video Game & Story Design (Entering Gr. 4-8)
Calling all future writers, artists, designers, and game developers. In this collaborative camp, enjoy storyboarding your games with character, enemy and plot development. Using the Bloxels Edu system, turn your interactive stories and physical creations into a digital video game. Use a special game board and blocks (which will become pixels) to design the characters, levels, and other art for your games. Capture your creations by using the Bloxels App, then edit and customize your game, deciding how each of the elements interact and behave. Walk away with a fun, playable game for tablet or computer, and invaluable experience with logic and programming. -
*NEW* Zoo Camp (Entering Gr. K-3)
Learn about the incredible adaptations of animals all over the globe. Every day of camp, you’ll camouflage with chameleons or shake claws with lobsters using bricks to build different animals. From the science of how a camel’s hump helps it to survive in harsh deserts to the complicated languages of monkeys, each animal’s adaptation is essential to survival in a particular environment. By the end of the week, you will have learned about enough animals to build your own zoo. -
Beginning Chess (Entering Gr. 3-6)
Learn how to play chess in a fun environment this summer. Each class will focus on a different piece. The session will culminate with an exciting tournament on the last day with prizes. -
Chess (Entering Gr. 4-8)
Open to all interested in learning or expanding their understanding of the classic game of chess outdoors at Golden Lake Park. As one progresses, or for those already proficient, variations will be introduced. The use of time clocks and playing simultaneous games and 3 and 4-player competitions can also add to the challenge. Build skills for a tournament on the final day. -
Destination Mars: Rocketry (Entering Gr. 2-5)
Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air. Then it is yours to take home. Make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout the session. These rockets and airplanes will then be used to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, like how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Do you have the right stuff? Please bring two, 2-liter empty bottles for use in experiments. -
Drone Programming (Entering Gr. 3-8)
Learn to program and fly at the same time. Student groups will use drones that can be programmed to perform aerial maneuvers with entry level, block-based coding. The fun and excitement of flying drones makes it easy to forget that participants will be learning 21st century programming skills in the process. The camp will consist of a variety of fun challenges where programming skills learned will be put to the test. Families are welcome to stop by at the end of each day to see what their child has learned. -
Eureka Engineering (Entering Gr. 3-8)
Eureka introduces students to the core skills of robotics and STEM through engaging, hands-on learning opportunities. Student groups will work with LEGO Mindstorm kits, which include both electrical and mechanical components. The small groups will be mentored by experienced and passionate instructors. Parents are welcome to watch as their child's robotic creations come to life in exciting and competitive challenges including drag racing, fighting robots and more. -
Hogwarts & Other Magical Robotics (entering grades 3-6)
Journey to the magical world of Harry Potter and other magical lands. Build and program magical-themed projects. Young imaginations soar. Participants taught foundational building and introduced to programming concepts while learning about sensors, motors, and special technics components using the Lego Wedo Systems. Possible projects include Magic Chest, Dragon, Hippogriff, Magic Sorting Hat, Magic Carpet, and magical staircase. Participants will be working in pairs. Please bring a beverage and snack. -
Intermediate Chess (Entering Gr. 3-6)
Did you know that chess can help improve analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as kids’ math and reading scores? America’s Fun Science presents two classes of fun learning strategies, moves and countermoves. Master opening, middle and end-game strategies. Series culminates with a mini-tournament and prizes. Must have taken a beginning chess class or have equivalent experience. -
It's a Robot Party (Entering Gr. 2-6)
Join Centennial High School's Robotics Team, the Centurions, for a fun-filled morning of robot-themed activities. Students will have various hands-on experiences with all aspects of building a robot - including programming, driving, design, build, and media - all while being mentored by the diverse young people of FRC Team 2472. Of course, no robotics meeting would be complete without a snack! Proceeds help support the Centurions Robotics Team. -
Kids vs. Wild (Entering Gr. 1-4)
Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? In this cool camp you and your team will be challenged to create cool gadgets to survive in the wild. From engineering a cool periscope, harnessing the power of the sun to cook (marshmallows-yummy), engineering a device for drinkable water, engineering a shelter, and much more. Return transformed from this cool adventure.
